Mission Statement:

SangAmaya Images captures moments of a loving union with realism: weaving emotions and capturing life through a photojournalist’s eyes. This style surpasses traditional wedding portraiture trends by noticing subtleties and true emotions to deliver a truly unique documentation and story of your special day which cannot be replicated by simple posed portraiture.

About Kirstina:

After picking up a film camera in high school, I followed my interest in photography through college and discovered photojournalism. I first started photography working in a darkroom eight years ago and caught the shutter bug.  My passion for photography is still eminent with my ability to capture stills as a documentation of life’s numerous trials and celebrations. Today, I continue my work as photojournalist for a local newspaper.  

About Karla: 

I started my love of photography at a very young age.  I remember sitting in my parents bedroom flipping through the pages of an old LIFE magazine; I was transfixed by the images and found myself in complete awe. The ability to capture such a real moment and elicit that feeling from others is something I wanted to do- the ability to draw a bridge and touch people through my photographs.

 

Kirstina & Karla:

Coming from a journalistic background we believe the true beauty in photography is a genuine moment: we instinctively focus on documentary angles and we are always looking to capture the beginning,  middle, and end of life’s many stories.

We cherish every couple that we have had the honor of documenting.  To have others believe and trust us with one of the most important days of our lives is a honor.
